Privacy policy

Short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Who we are

What we collect

Weekly email. If you sign up for the weekly picks, we store your email address, the city you chose, the date you signed up and the date you confirmed, a random link code (for the confirm and unsubscribe links) and a one-way hash of your IP address to block spam. We use them only to send you the Radar email.
Server logs. Our server keeps standard technical logs (requests, errors) for security and reliability. Our email log records only a one-way hash of the address, never the address itself.
Analytics. We use Yandex Metrica (by YANDEX LLC) to count visits and clicks on buttons such as "Get tickets", so we know which pages are useful. It sets its own cookies and receives your IP address and browser details; we don't use its session recording. See Yandex's privacy policy.
Your browser. Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your own browser (local storage). We don't use advertising cookies.
Your city. To suggest events in your city, our server looks up your IP address in our own copy of the IP Geolocation by DB-IP database (CC BY 4.0). The IP address is not stored or sent to anyone. The city you confirm is saved only in your browser (local storage and a radar_city cookie for one year).

The weekly email

We send email only after you confirm your address: right after you sign up we send one email with a confirmation link, and if you don't click it, you won't hear from us again. After you confirm, you get one email a week (Monday morning, your city's time) with 5–8 events in your city. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link (and supports the unsubscribe button in Gmail, Outlook and other mail apps); after you unsubscribe we stop sending at once. Event links lead to the organisers' pages. Emails are sent from radar@romkola.com by our own server — no email marketing service gets your address.

If you use the Radar bot, Telegram shares your Telegram account ID and the messages you send to the bot. We use them to run your radar: your city, interests and saved events.

Sharing

We don't sell or rent personal data. We share it only with service providers we need to run Radar (hosting) or when required by law.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion — email radar@romkola.com and we'll reply within 30 days. Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link.
